Another weekend trip for the Clan McLeod - I feel fortunate to be able to take our kids to do so many different things and to so many different places, but BOY, does it take a toll on MOMMY! I'm exhausted. ...and NOT from the trip itself, but from cleaning up AFTER the trip! ...but, I digress.
This weekend we packed up a truck full of gear and took the kiddos up to Big Sur to go camping with the Bauen's. It was SO MUCH FUN! It took us 6 hours to get there because we had to take the 1 all the way up from SLO...and Gavin got car sick so we had to stop a few times, but it was all worth it. Once we got there, the weather was BEAUTIFUL (for one day anyways). Chase and Makky got along like peas and carrots and Gavin made a new friend. Bri's friend from school, Yuki, came with her family - her husband, Paolo, and her two kids, Kai (4) and Mia (9 months).
We didn't get to do any hiking because the surrounding areas were pretty much burned down from the the recent fires, but it was still a great weekend with good friends. We've decided to make it (atleast) an annual trip. Here are a few memories:

The kiddos look like they had a good time! love road trips...always fun memories.
We took a trip to Big Sur a few years ago. We drove up Pac 1 and omg - breathtaking! I was terrified we were going to crash b/c I was too busy looking at the view! :0
And we stayed one night in SLO @ the Madonna Inn...too cool.
