While the Boys Are Away...

On this day, Morgan had taken Gavin to football practice, so the ladybug and I were left alone for some quality mommy-and-baby time. Of course, she needed a snack. And, of course, I thought she looked adorable while eating said snack. Here are a few snapshots of my little lady:

20 Weeks and Counting...

Many people have been asking me for pictures of the ever-growing belly. Since today marks the official halfway point of this pregnancy, I decided to grant those wishes.

{DISCLAIMER: please ignore my ever-growing a$$, as I've developed an even bigger sweet tooth than before}

Happy Birthday, America!

Yesterday was Independence Day.
To celebrate this wonderful day, the Clan Mcleod piled into the truck and headed down to San Diego for the day.
We decided to BBQ, have some fun in the sun and watch the fireworks from Harbor Island.
The weather was good, the food was great and the company was PERFECT.

{focus not on Makenna, but on Gavin in the background, LOL}
{a RARE picture (actually two) of the four of us, thanks to a friendly stranger}

{Gavin asked me to take pictures of the "pirate ship" and sailboat}

Another Lost Tooth

Well my boy is getting bigger.
I'm learning to accept this fact.
Yesterday, he lost his third tooth--the front, top, left one.
He looks silly without it.
Here he is, moments after the BIG event:

Sorry for the crappy picture quality, this was taken with my phone.

A Super, Uber, Majorly FUN Day With OPA!!!

Today my dad, aka Opa, came out to spend the day with the kids and I (as an early Father's Day celebration). Bright and early, Gavin had another football game. He played AWESOME!! It was his first game as the team's QB, he threw his first touchdown pass! We were all so proud of him!!!

{THE TOUCHDOWN PASS}
Makky and Opa had a fun time walking around the field and eating snacks.

{At one point, Makenna ran onto the field and Opa had to chase her down and bring her back, lol}
After the game, we went to lunch at the Yardhouse--which was DELISH, as usual--then came home so the kids could play with their Opa. Here's a glimpse of the fun that was had!

Picnic Day at Pond Park

Today we decided to pack a picnic lunch and head over to Pond Park.
The weather was GORGEOUS and the ducks were out in full force.
Here are a few memories from our day:

I LOVE summer vacation! :)

Carrots and Applesauce

As most people know, Makenna is our version of a little, teeny, tiny, human garbage disposal. She will eat ANYTHING. And I mean ANYTHING. Just today, Morgan gave her some sauerkraut and she said, "Mmmmm." Yah. It's beyond me. Anyways, on this particular day (sometime last week), I was running LOW LOW LOW on groceries and didn't have much to give her for snack. Luckily, she will eat anything and thoroughly ENJOY it. So...here she is, grubbin' on some applesauce and carrots, lol. Not the greatest combination, but hey, atleast it was healthy, right? ;)

Football and Sea World

This weekend, Morgan's mom came into town for a visit. Gavin always looks forward to her visits, and SO DO I--I'm not sure how many people can say that about their mother-in-laws! She's so easy to talk to, fun to hang out with and passes no judgement on anything or anyone...she's just here to have a good time with all of us!!!

On Saturday morning, Gavin had his first flag football game. Their jerseys weren't ready by game time, so it was pretty much like a scrimmage...but, Gavin scored a touchdown!
After the football game, we headed down to San Diego for some Sea World fun! The weather was PERFECT and it wasn't crowded at all. Unfortunately, we were so busy having FUN, we didn't take very many pictures of the kids with their Grammie! We'll just have to look forward to the next time she comes to visit and take twice as many pictures! :D

Picnic Day!!!

Today was Gavin's last day of Kindergarten!!!
As a special treat, his class had a pizza picnic at the park, complete with a tattoo station, bubbles, bouncy balls and lots of food! Makenna and I were able to meet the class at the park and celebrate this day with them. Boy, was it FUN! Here are a few pictures from the day:

Kinder Olympics 2009

Today was the 10th Annual Kinder Olympics at Gavin's school. And let me just say--it was ADORABLE! This was an all-day event, with opening and closing ceremonies and 8 sporting events for the kids to compete in. Parents and siblings were allowed to bring chairs (and such) to watch all the events, so OF COURSE we arived early to get the best seat possible. :)

OPENING CEREMONY: The principal of the school introduced all the "athletes" by class and each class walked a lap around the gaming area with the official torch.
SPORTING EVENTS:
{Hurdles}
{Swimming--I didn't get a picture of the actual "swimming" but they kids laid belly down on the picnic tables and crawled across}
{Equestrian}
{Javelin}
{Cycling}
NOT PICTURED: Basketball and Long Jump

CLOSING CEREMONY: Each athlete was awarded a medal by their teachers. Then all the athletes walked around the entire school while the parents, siblings and all the other classes (1st-5th grade) lined the path, giving them high-fives and cheering them on...all while "We Are The Champions" played over the intercom.
Overall, I think Gavin had a great day!!! Here's MY little champion with his medal.
And just because I can't leave this post Makenna-free, here she is cheering her big bro on, being a little social butterfly to some of the other moms/siblings and grubbin' down on a donut.
